Why Being A Scandinavian Doll Collector Sucks, part deux

So, part two of why I wish I lived in any other part of the world, if only for the sake of my hobby. Most shorter-lived/lesser-know toy lines never make it here. For instance, here are a few awesome doll lines that will never take up shelf space in any store here ever: La Dee Da, Cutie Pops, Mystixx, Once Upon A Zombie, and Fairy Tale High. We don't even have Winx, Disney Fairies or Lala Loopsy's widely available. Which is a total bummer. Thankfully, we are getting Ever After High, they've just started trickling in to various stores, and will probably be quite widespread by mid spring. Not that that matters much to me, as I practically refuse to buy anything that isn't at least 20% off these days. Which brings us to WBASDCS part 3: EVERYTHING toy related here is too fucking expensive. I mean, c'mon, for the basics, $54 each, almost $62 each for the Legacy Day dolls, and a whopping $75 for the Ashlynn and Hunter 2-pack? Yeeeeaaaah... No. And yes, those are also the prices for Monster High dolls here. So excuse me while I go off for a moment, but I'm REALLY sick and tired of US collectors complaining over "high" prices, when they can on occasion find $5 clearance dolls which equals less than a bloody weekly magazine goes for here. It's actually cheaper for me to buy stuff from Japan, or the UK, or the US, including shipping costs, than it is to walk into a store here and make a purchase, which in my humblest of opinions does not make a lick of sense. And I doubt I'm the only one who feels this way.
