A new friend and some luck

I cannot remember the last time I met someone and thought "Oh hey, we could totally be buds!", but thanks to me and the BF's habit of selling our unwanted anime merch and other stuff at the local fleamarket run every summer we've met a lot of interesting people from all over town. Among them a wonderful little family whos' daughter is the biggest anime dork I've ever met, bar myself and the bae. Over the past winter she and her mum's have bought alot of figures off of us, and we get along really well, so I suspect we might even become friends eventually, which is pretty awesome. So anyway, yesterday evening, they were here because the daughter had recently had her birthday, and had some cash she wanted to burn, and we made some pretty great sales, and she walked away happy as a clam and slightly overexcited because she'd gotten to see our collection for the first time ^__^ Ergo, we managed to make her day, and we have some more fun-money, woo! So of course, a-yahoo-ing we will go! Got my eyes on some pretties from our wishlists, and some other stuff that's just neat, we shall see what Luck has in store for us. In other news, I'm turning the big three oh in a few weeks, so I decided to get myself a little present. I'm not sure of how many years I've had them on my wishlist, probably something like7 or 8, but now I can finally cross them off:

Fushigi Boshi no Futago Hime Princess Rain and Princess Fine! I just love them, they're so ott princessy and totally adorable <3 Plus their little wands are too cute, I'd love to have one of the rp wands for my magical item collection some day, but dang, mahou shojou merch is expensive.

Aaand... I now own Apple White. Dang. I hadn't really planned to, but I made the mistake of reading the Shannon Hale books, and well, I fell in love. Now I just need Lizzie, as well as Duchess (I'm praying for an Amazon sale) and I'll have all my favourite webisode and book-verse characters! I also took a quick walk through BR-Toys today while out getting groceries, and my my, wasn't I surprised. They'd gotten both the Haunted deluxe dolls (minus Porter, as per usual) and the Monster Exchange dolls, as well as the single originals and Gloom & Bloom, eventhough the website hasn't listed ME or the originals, and only G&B are in stock. I'd have gotten several all at once if it weren't for the ridiculous prices. Oh, and the had Bonita down from 54$ to $36. *eyeroll* Mind you though, if that doesn't actually sound too bad, it's because the dollar recently spiked, and there's now about 8.50 crowns to a dollar. Yes, I live in dolly-buying hell. Oh well, either way, I've resigned myself to get one doll tomorrow or sunday, and it's currently a toss-up between River and Lorna who are my favourite designs of the two lines. I'll probably go for whichever has the least wonk. We shall see.
