Because friday was an awful, horrible, bad BAD day. Harry, the eldest of the Kittlings, had to go in for dental surgery, so naturally I spent the day a complete wreck. Won't go into details, because it's honestly more than even I can stomach, but it was pretty horrendous for everyone involved. Thankfully, he's back to his happy self now, which is wonderful to see, but the memories of yesterday will probably haunt me for a while. One good thing that did happen was that my plushies arrived, and they came as a very welcome distraction. Bunny (my Pote Usa Loppy, who alternatively also goes by Killer, Overlord and Lizzie - because I'm stuck on what to name her) is the most huggable plush I've had for years. Her giant noggin' makes for the best chin-rest ever, and she's soooo soft. As for Nyanpire, who shall remain Nyanpire, since there is no way I could ever come up with a better and more suitable name for him, will live on the livingroom couch where he will be much loved. As a smaller secondary distraction, I picked up a Sylvanian Families fridge set on sale. It was tiny and cute, and I couldn't resist. This came from my SF love flaring up with a vengeance some 2 weeks back, and unlike before it's refusing to simmer down. So... I'm looking at second hand buildings. Definately leaning toward House on the Hill. As for the family that's going to live there; Hubby is in love with the tan beavers that are currently out - and I know he has a soft spot for otters too - while I'm leaning towards the charcoal cat families (love the black little baby from the JP set!), the orange tabby cat family, or possibly the foxes. And my mother favours the hedgehogs. Decisions, decisions. I've also found a site that has two oop family life sets that I want for the accessories they come with, but I'm unsure if I should go for it or not. Especially with only one more fleamarket date left... But then, we are planning on opening the website this winter, I could probably get rid of the extra figures there... Oh well, onto another topic. In about 2 months time, I'll be getting rather a lot of play money, which of course is awesome. But I'm not sure how I ought to divide it, so bear with me while I ramble. On the one hand, there are an awful lot of MH and EAH I haven' gotten yet, but on the other, there's also a lot of cool new stuff I'm been itching to get my paws on. MH out now: Freak du Chic Gooliope, Freaky Fusion Bonita, Freaky Fusion Sirena, HtD Porter, HtD Vandala, Exchange Lorna, Exchange Marisol, SDCC Valentine, SDCC Manny, Gilda, I<3F Iris, Boo York Elle, Boo York Luna, Boo York Nefera, Boo York Cleo & Deuce, LE Draculaura, Garrott. Coming MH: Exchange Isi, Exchange Kjersti, Exchange Batsy, Finnegan. EAH out now: Thronecoming Raven, Thronecoming Apple, Lizzie, Dexter, SDCC Raven, Duchess, Alistair, Bunny, Rosabella. Coming EAH: Dragon Games Raven, Dragon Games Holly, Dragon Games Darling, Dragon Games Mira, Melody. There. Only about 36 dolls. Jeepers. Then there's Descendants: Sig. Mal, Sig. Evie, Coronation Mal. Star Darlings are looking irresistably cute too, but I'm waiting for the dolls to actually be out before I decide how I feel about them. My love for Takara dolls is as strong as ever, and there are several very tempting ladies out there, but maybe I should just wait to get them until we go to Tokyo next year. And of course we have the more expensive darlings, like Ellowyne, Evangeline and Maudlynne who keep calling my name. I still have some time to decide though, thankfully. And just because I can, I'm now going to head over to Wilde Imaginations to see what new pretties have shown up.
In other, actual, news, I've gone nuts with the cleaning. I'm throwing out/donating as much as I possibly can. And it feels great. I've been needing a fresh start, so now I'm creating one for myself. Awesome.
