Small rant

Ok, so... Being who I am, I get fiercely obsessive about things I like. I tend to jump headfirst into anything that interests me and come out the other side a huge fan who gets excited about everything. This is exactly what happened with me and all things DC. It started with dipping my toes in the Arrow-verse through the tv series, and has ended up with me reading more comics in the past couple of months than I have probably read in my whole life. Like I said, huge fan. I'm even happy about Rebirth, which seems to be the minority opinion if Google searches are anything to go by. However, and this is really just me begging for my sanity; please DC, please let this be the last reboot for at least another ten years or so? I mean, it feels like the right thing to do, bringing in the old comicverse to mesh with the new one. Righting a few wrongs left in the wake of the New 52. But can that just be enough for a while? I'd love to see a few series get into the hundreds again. No more hacking ongoing stories with potential off at the knees, please. And another thing I really just need to whine about, because the uncertainty is driving me crazy; PLEASE LEMME KEEP MY BABIES THIS TIME! I almost cried when I realised Steph wasn't a part of the Batverse (yet) anymore post 52, and if she (or Cullen and Harper for that matter) get retconned (again), I might actually blow a fuse. And don't you dare touch a hair on Goliaths ginormous head, or I will go berzerk. Damians giant bat-monster is one of the best things to come out of the last reboot, so no. Just nope. *sigh* But yeah, other than the ridiculously overpowering fear that I might never see my faves again, I'm really super excited about many of the new titles. Like Super Sons (which has given me a smidge of hope re: giant flying furball) for instance. Dami and Jon going on adventures together? While trying not to kill each other? And possibly bonding over having effed up lives because of Super!Dads? I am so there! And since this is supposed to be a toy blog: Had some amazing Mandarake luck last week! Managed to score 4 of Kotobukiyas New52 Batman figures, namely Catwoman, Batman, Demon-brat, and best of all, Alfred! So much happiness ^__^ Oh, and Shiro arrived yesterday, but we won't be picking her up from the PO until tomorrow. It's not that we're not excited, it's just that the unthinkable has finally happened. We have run out of room. At least, we've run out of room for now. As soon as we figure out how to get the old couch out, we'll be getting some new livingroom furniture, which includes two more display cases. That's display case number 10 and 11. Yeah, we might actually be properly crazy. But we're loving it :)
